Discovered in a former boudoir of Palais Cardinal, Paris. this jewel was said to have been given to the favourite lover of the powerful c17 French war minister and clergyman, and notorious womaniser, Cardinal Richelieu. Baroque style inspires this beautifully delicate necklace with rose vine detail and a single black rose, accentuated by a with a stunning black Austrian crystal. Designed and hand made in England in fine English pewter.
